Where does one even start when talking about a movie as absolutely ridiculous as Sharknado 2: The Second One. Having never seen the first installment of Sharknado I had no idea what to expect from the Second One, however surprisingly I was entertained for all 86 minutes. The movie is nothing short of ridiculous but it is mind numbingly entertaining.

The movie starts off with Fin (Ian Ziering) and April (Tara Reid) on a plane to travel to New York City. However, after just defeating the first Sharknado in Los Angeles the question has to come to mind, what will be different this time around? You can’t escape fate, and their fate seems to be sealed in the stomach of a shark, or the eye of a Sharknado. On their way to the Big Apple the flight hits some turbulence, and as Fin is looking out the window he sees the shadows of sharks in the clouds and storms below. He starts to panic and causes a ruckus on the plane resulting in flight attendant (Kelly Osbourne) and an air marshal asking him to remain calm. However, there is all the need in the world for panic as a shark takes out an engine, penetrates the plane and all possible hell breaks loose on this plane ride from hell. Thankfully they land safely in New York with only a few casualties, as Fin goes to find his sister Ellen (Kari Wurher) her husband Martin (Mark McGrath) their son Vaughn (Dante Palminteri) and mutual long time friend Skye (Vivica Fox). However his sister goes to Stanton Island with friends and Martin, Vaughn, and Skye are at the Mets game when Fin arrives and warns them of the upcoming Sharknado attack. Will they all make it out alive or will Fin not be able to save them all, and the rest of the city of New York?

Sharknado 2: The Second One had an absolute abundance of cameos that made this movie even more entertaining than it was ever expected to be. Cameos range from former Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, Billy Ray Cyrus, Andy Dick, Perez Hilton, Daymond John and more. These cameos made this movie excel further than expectations, even though some were short lived it certainly added to the funny.

Sharknado 2: The Second One certainly exceeded expectations, and proved to be even more enjoyable then some other additions in the genre franchise (comedy horror) such as the last few Final Destination films.
