Monkey Kingdom is the latest in a series of revealing, winning documentaries from DisneyNature. Featuring a strong, relatable narrative, incredible footage, and informative narration, Monkey Kingdom, and indeed the entire film series, helps to entertain while raising awareness.

In promoting this film, Disney invited Scene Creek to the Toronto Zoo to talk to a monkey expert as it were in Maria Franke. A veteran of the institution, Franke is the curator of mammals and spoke to us about monkey behavior, the zoo as a sanctuary, and what can be done to help protect endangered species.
