Fan Expo 2014: Efren Ramirez Interview

Ten years ago, a little film called Napoleon Dynamite premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. With a minimal budget (Star John Heder was only paid $1,000), everyone was shocked when the film went on to be a huge commercial success, grossing over $40,000,000 domestically. After the release, the film became common household discussion. Everyone knew Napoleon and his sidekick Pedro (Efren Ramirez). The film followed the nasally title character as he juggled getting through high school and dealing with his unusual family. When his best friend Pedro decides to run for student council president, Napoleon pulls not stops in doing his best to guarantee that Pedro is elected. In celebration of the anniversary, Heder and Ramirez reunited at FanExpo to host a highly anticipated panel. We got to chat with the eccentric Ramirez about the film’s legacy and how Napoleon Dynamite has changed his life.
