Dragons’ Den airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on CBC, as an anchor of the network’s #FallforCBC lineup. We’ve been fans of the show for a long time, but this past Wednesday night at Modus Restaurant in the Financial District in Toronto, we were thrilled to be invited into the Dragons’ Den, and watch the season premiere alongside the Dragons.

Before the event though, we were fortunate enough to get a chance to speak to the three returning Dragons, stalwarts David Chilton, Arlene Dickinson and Jim Treliving, as well as the new Dragons, Vikram Vij and Michael Wekerle, who were feisty and revealing from the get go. The honour of chatting with the Dragons on the red carpet was truly ours, as they all spoke quite passionately about what they have learned about being Dragons, and offered Scene Creek some truly majestic insight, about book publishing, what it means to be a restaurateur, the make-up of Dragons in the Chinese Zodiac, and being authentic persons.

And of course, we asked each of the Dragons about their favourite type of pizza.
