Peyton Reed’s film Ant-Man comes to Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray and Digital HD just in time for the Holidays. Here are five reasons to go big by going small.

1. The film appropriately plays better on the small screen. Many of the jokes come rapid fire, and the film is better understood with a rewind button. Michael Peña is hilarious throughout, Gregg Turkington (Neil Hamburger) does an inspired turn as the boss of Baskin-Robbins, and the gag reel is actually funny for a change.

2. The film will play extremely well on a 3D Blu Ray player and television, because of the nature of Paul Rudd flying around as the tiny hero, Ant-Man. Also, the Thomas the Tank Engine will look like it’s flying right at us.

3. Amazing cameos! John Slattery! Hayley Atwell! Young Michael Douglas! And that is in the first scene alone. And a certain member of the Avengers drops by to provide an assist, (Ant-Man is going to appear in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, similar to how he matches up in the comic book).

4. It’s funny! Most comic movies forget how to be comic. Ant-Man features Paul Rudd as the titular Ant-Man and when he is hapless criminal Scott Lang his mannerisms and actions are quite funny, and he is supported by T.I., David Dastmalchian, Bobby Cannavale, the aforementioned Peña, and Judy Greer gets in some great lines as Lang’s ex-wife.

5. The special features reveal that the film features a sense of good fun, as the crew and director Peyton Reed seemed to have a sense of whimsy and wonder when they were working on the film, and the suit itself is very cool. Other fascinating tidbits we learned were that Rudd has to put in a lot of effort to get his body in shape, and even did some tumbling and light parkour, and Evangeline Lilly trained in Muay Thai.
