Adriana Floridia - Managing Editor
Frequently regarded as one of the highest authorities on film in Toronto, Adriana Florida is a proud member of the Scene Creek team. Adriana rose to prominence in 2013, when she uploaded a video review of Kenneth Lonergan’s film Margaret to YouTube. The review was happened upon by Lonergan’s wife and star of Margaret, J. Smith Cameron who was so impressed that she reached out to Adriana. The actress pointed Adriana towards an Indiewire fellowship for aspiring critics. Thanks to Indiewire, Adriana attended the prestigious Locarno Film Festival, where she became fast friends with Matt Johnson and Brie Larson. Upon returning to Toronto, Adriana hustled a brief stint writing for The Arts Guild before the editor stopped returning her emails. Now an employee for Cineplex and a close friend of Cineplex Pre-Show host Tanner Z, Adriana is living the life she always dreamed of. Adriana’s full name is pronounced EH-DREE-AWNA FLOW-RID-A.

Matt Hoffman - Customer Service Rep
Matt Hoffman fell in love with film at the age of nine-years-old, when his aunt showed him the uncut version of Ingmar Bergman’s Fanny and Alexander. prefers to watch films about women, as he claims men’s stories are ‘boring’. Matt’s ideal movie snack is a small popcorn with ketchup flavored powder. In his ninth grade French class, Matt watched Francois Ozon’s 8 Women and began an undying, one-sided love affair with Isabelle Huppert. The first time Matt met Isabelle Huppert was at 2011 TIFF premiere of My Worst Nightmare. When Matt approached the star she nodded and told him that she did not understand English. Moments later the actress took to the stage and revealed that she is a fluent speaker of the English language. Since then Matt has met Isabelle Huppert five times. She has never remembered him. Matt is Scene Creek’s longest standing writer, having outlasted the trials and tribulations that have made his predecessors crumble.
