Originally known as that actor from Twilight and that Harry Potter movie, Robert Pattinson is now reinventing himself with a series of more mature films. Pattinson proved his talent when he first collaborated with David Cronenberg in his 2012 film Cosmopolis, and now the actor is re-teaming with the auteur in his latest film Maps to the Stars. In the film, Pattinson plays limo driver and wannabe actor/screenwriter Jerome Fontana. While he may not have much screen time, his performance is quite strong and one that further implies that he may be joining Sarah Gadon as one of Cronenberg’s latest muses. We sat down with Pattinson in September when he was in Toronto for the film’s Canadian premiere.
