Each year, cosplayers spend days preparing their costumes for Fan Expo. While some of the costumes seen on the floor were as simple as a wig and a t-shirt, others were much more intricate with tailored garments, heavy makeup, and elaborate props. This year, we were on the lookout for the best of the best cosplayers. It seemed the most popular costume for women were either Elsa from Disney’s Frozen, or Daenerys Targaryen from the HBO series Game of Thrones. When it came to the men, the most popular were, unsurprisingly, Spider-Man and Deadpool. We were actually quite surprised by the complete absence of Katniss Everdeen cosplayers, as the costume was a huge hit the past two years. Some of our favourite costumes this year included Maleficent, Black Spider-Man, and an entire family of Beetlejuices.
