Synopsis:
Diana Nyad, long-distance swimming legend and world-record holder, comes out of a 30-year retirement to re-attempt the one swim that has always eluded her: a treacherous 103-mile, non-stop crossing from Cuba to Florida—without the use of a shark cage. She craves commitment, not to a person but to a purpose. So after three decades out of the water, she jumps back into training, proof positive that 60 is the new 40. Nyad is a remarkable heroine who can’t be underestimated or pegged. Literally one of a kind, she’s convinced she can accomplish what no one else has done before. She will cross. Not if, but when.
