The Canadian Film Centre (CFC) and Fandor, in association with Telefilm Canada and TIFF Industry, have joined forces to present The Future of Film: Imagining & Building a New Film Ecosystem. Taking place on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 7:00pm to 9:00p.m. at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto, the event will feature a candid conversation with Ted Hope, CEO of Fandor and award-winning independent film producer of films like 21 Grams, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Adventureland, Happiness, She’s The One and The Brothers McMullen.
CFC is offering one winner two passes to see Ted Hope speak with by editor, journalist and media consultant Michael Gubbins and co-hosts Isabel Gomez-Moriana, Executive in Charge of Project Development, Marketplace & Packaging, CFC and Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director, Toronto International Film Festival.
The conversation will address the current challenges and advantages facing filmmakers in today’s industry, followed by a question and answer period open to the audience, to engage, inspire and mobilize the film and digital media communities. The Future of Film: Imagining & Building a New Film Ecosystem will bring together key individuals from the global film industry to focus on community building, exchanging values, testing new ideas, shifting perspectives and pushing boundaries in an open and collaborative environment.
