Win tickets to select films at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival
Spring is finally here!
In celebration of spring’s unofficial start, we’re giving away tickets to see three amazing films at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival, on from May 3-13! Check them out below, and enter for a chance to win a pair of passes to attend a screening! You can enter once for each title. Contest deadline is one day before each screening.
This popular Israeli vampire series follows a small-time criminal with mounting debts and a pocketful of mafia money who, after a high-stakes night of poker, is transformed into a reckless vampire by a mysterious woman. Best described as being a mix between Snatch and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the series debuted in 2017 and was met with rave reviews in the Hebrew media. The first three episodes of the series will screen at the festival.
Standing Up
Unlikely aspiring comedians, an Orthodox Jew, a personal injury lawyer and a janitor struggle to navigate New York’s cutthroat stand up comedy scene. Director Jonathan Miller and Producer Katharine Accardo will be on hand for a Q&A following the screening.Standing Up screens May 8 at 8:30PM at Innis Town Hall and May 13 at 4:30PM at Cineplex Cinemas Empress Walk (theatre 9).
