DVD Review: Frozen Sing-a-Long

frozen-sing-along-editionWhen Disney Canada released the Collector’s Edition of their animated juggernaut Frozen earlier this year, many fans (including us at Scene Creek) were disappointed that it did not include a sing-along option. Well the fine folks at Disney Canada turned our frowns upside down by releasing a special Sing-Along Edition of the beloved film!

Kids of all ages can follow the bouncing snowflake, as it guides viewers along the lyrics of each song. This can be done either during the course of the film or, alternatively, in each selected song, if one wishes to watch (and sing along to) the respective songs alone. In the previous Blu-ray release of the film, one could not skip easily from one song to another, as the chapter selections did not easily allow for such an action. Thankfully, in the new Sing-Along Edition, the special features menu gives the option of simply watching the songs, which will delight parents and children alike.

For those confused by the previous edition’s Making of Frozen special feature (personally, we were huge fans), this disc comes with its own making of featurette, which provides a roughly six minute overview into the exhaustive compilation of the film.

With the holidays just around the corner, the Sing-Along Edition of Frozen will make a perfect gift for everyone on your list.
