Interview: Michiel Huisman talks The Age of Adaline

Michiel Huisman has been tearing up the small screen in the past few years with roles on acclaimed shows such as Treme, Nashville, and most recently Game of Thrones. The Dutch actor is now making his leading man debut as Blake Lively’s love interest in The Age of Adaline. The film follows Lively’s Adaline, who stopped aging after a terrible car accident in the 1930s. In present day, Adaline still looks twenty-nine, and must live a connection-free life to stop her secret from getting out. Huisman plays Ellis, a wealthy New York socialite who falls in love with Adaline after spotting her on his way out of the public library. Though Adaline refuses Ellis’ pathetic attempts to woo her, she eventually finds herself falling for the charmer. Huisman was in Toronto recently where we sat down with him to discuss Adaline, Game of Thrones, and living forever.
