INTERVIEW: Ethan Hawke on BORN TO BE BLUE

Over the past twenty years, Ethan Hawke has starred quite a few wonderful films. Training Day, the Before trilogy, Reality Bites, the list goes on. He’s also made a handful of questionable career choices, but enough about that now. Anyways, this year Hawke stars as Jazz legend Chet Baker the Canadian film Born to Be Blue. Directed by Robert Budreau, the film follows Baker after he loses his front teeth in a brawl, after which he must relearn to play the trumpet. We were on the red carpet for the film’s Toronto premiere, where we spoke to both the director and star. Check out the video to see the interviews, where we ask Hawke to weigh in on the presidential election and the reality of The Purge!
