Sunday August 31st saw the world premiere of the Canadian feature Dr.Cabbie in Toronto. The director Jean-Francois Pouliot and cast members Isabelle Kaif, Vinay Virmani and Kunal Nayyar were on the red carpet at the landmark Scotiabank Theatre to promote the film. They were joined by special guests as well, including comedian Jus Reign, and popular recording artists Carl Wolfe and Kardinal Offishall.

The event was a wonderful evening where fans came out to show their pride in Canadian filmmaking and multiculturalism. The film which tells the story of a doctor turned cab driver who turns his vehicle into a mobile clinic, makes for a notable combination of the Bollywood genre within the Canadian film industry. The tale of Dr. Cabbie who moves to Canada in hopes of starting fresh in a new land is one that many can relate to, and the film is definitely a fun-filled ride.

Dr. Cabbie opens in theatres on September 19th.
