Have you seen Don McKellar?

Alice on Queen Pop Up

To celebrate the upcoming theatrical release of Alice Through the Looking Glass (the much anticipated follow-up to the live action Alice in Wonderland), Disney Canada has launched a limited time only, free (!) Alice themed exhibit in downtown Toronto. Located at 277 Queen Street West (the same locale where the highly successful Star Wars: The Force Awakens exhibit took place just a few months ago) and running from May 20th to May 27th, the exhibit boasts wonderful delights for people of all ages. The following are just a few of its highlights.

Cake!
How to Cake It‘s Yolanda Gampp and her team have created an incredibly unique Alice Through the Looking Glass themed cake and they’re giving fans the opportunity to try it out! During our preview of the exhibit we got a delicious taste of it and trust us, you do not want to miss out! On Saturday May 21st from 11:30am to 3:30am the first 100 guests at the Pop Up will, not only be treated to a slice of the cake, but also get the opportunity to meet the sweet Yolanda.

Interactive Fun!
Named the Travel Through the Looking Glass Experience (you may have heard about it from last year’s D23 fan convention where it was a smash hit), the digital photo booth magically transforms you into your favorite character from the film. You can choose if you wish to look like the Red Queen, Alice, the Mad Hatter, the White Queen, the Cheshire Cat or the White Rabbit. Once you’ve made your selection and entered in your email address, you will receive a fun email from the Mad Hatter giving you your personal images and video from your time in the kiosk. We had a blast getting into the spirit of the Red Queen (see our Twitter feed for our picture) but we’re definitely going to return on the weekend to transform into the Mad Hatter as well.

Makeovers!
Luxe makeup company Urban Decay has released a limited-edition Alice Through the Looking Glass collection featuring a must-have eyeshadow palette (see picture below) and five shades of custom lipsticks. We’ve started emptying our piggy bank to buy it all and you can try the collection on Sunday May 22nd when makeup artists from Urban Decay will be on hand for demonstrations.

The free Alice Through the Looking Glass exhibit runs from Friday May 20th to Friday May 27th and is open daily from 11am to 7pm. Be sure to use the assigned hashtags (found within the Pop Up) on Instagram and Twitter to be entered for a chance to win additional swag and advance screening passes.
